For years people knew of their family history because they never left home, at least not much further than a weekly holiday to Margate, Scarborough or maybe Bognor. These days travel not only broadens the mind but opens new doors for employment, relationships and cultures. Families are further apart than ever in the search for adventure, money and that lifestyle they always dreamt of. Sometimes on the other side of the world.

FMK was developed for exactly these reasons. As families spread far and wide and though the internet keeps us close but miles apart we lose touch with our home base and that of our friends and family. Not everybody has a line to be discovered, with the loss of archives during the last century as well as poor recording, some cases fall woefully short of our imagination and some have no or very little records at all. We cannot guarantee success. Not everyone can have a line going back centuries like Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. However if you have then we can find it.

Findmykin can do the hard bit for you and dig through all the historical data around the United Kingdom and beyond those shores where available. It can be daunting to spend time wading through archives, millions of pieces of information and even understanding what it means. We can do all that for as long or short a time as you wish.

Answer a few simple questions on a questionnaire and we’ll able to the start the process undertaking the research for you. At just £15 per hour we will log the hours and when you say stop we will present you with our findings leaving you to carry on doing your own research if you so wish in your own time.
